Read: Acts 14:12
A Christian pastor posted symbols of various religions on her Facebook feed, as if celebrating the equality and diversity of all faiths. The first comment quoted John 14:6. “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” Just that. In response, someone wrote that she was grateful she worshiped a God who accepted everyone from any path.
Does any method work? Would mechanical engineers or physicists agree? Inclusion and relativism have their place, but sometimes, we must acknowledge the truth even if it makes us uncomfortable or flies in the face of popular sentiment. Satan loves those non-Biblical “feel good” concepts that sound loving but are deadly. How dare we disrespect others and not honor their personal beliefs? God understands.
Oh, does He? If there were other ways to redeem man from eternal separation from the Father, wouldn’t Jesus have chosen the easier option than agony on the Cross? If anything less could have appeased God’s justice, wouldn’t God have made that clear, like He did when He provided Abraham with a ram to replace Isaac for sacrifice?
Actually, God provided the most inclusive and clear way to salvation possible. All are welcome to enter through Christ, the only door to salvation. There is no need to research other paths, or make choices. Just follow Christ.
While we Christians believe in loving others sacrificially, the opposite of love is to leave unchallenged falsehoods that lead to eternal death. We have our personal testimonies to share. We can ask questions that may lead others to question their false premises. We can pray for others, and where inspired, speak truth to lies.
Holy Spirit, grant us the words to speak according to Your loving wisdom. Let us never shrink from sharing the truth of Your salvation through Jesus.
